Weekend came and it's almost over. In 2 days, I met up with different groups of people and caught up quite a bit.
First, Saturday early morning appointment was made with 2 adventurous persons to go hunt for durians. Well, erm, I overslept...hahaha... got my fair share of being suaned when I eventually got to the meeting place, not too late though. We couldn't find any, rather, we didn't know where to really find them but we saw people walked past us with bags full. Then we decided to explore a bit and ahah! Hee... next time we know. It was good fun and some camaderie which usually would not have over dinners.
Then was work... nothing exciting.
In the evening, met up with cousins with the intention of welcoming our third youngest one back from his overseas studies. We sat and listened to the interesting stories of what Americans youth do and some of the funny things that he did. As usual, such gatherings isn't short of teases and jokes on each other. Exchanging infos about our parents just like how they would sit down last time and even now to share about us among them. Haha...
A reminensence of what we cousins did when we were still kids at my grandma's old house. Time flew so fast that what seemed like yesterday were things that happened more than 20 years ago. When we could not see eye to eye during our individual youth growth to today where some of us are married and laughing over those juvenilility of ours.
We may not meet often but surely enough for us to realise and appreciate each others' presence in our growing up years.
This morning, I managed to wake up early for mass and then hopped on to climb with a few friends/colleagues before some work responsibilities again. It's been almost 5 months since I last climbed. Didn't do much routes but was a good start somewhere. Knee was surprisingly manageable, probably because I taped it.
It may not have to be an expensive gathering, simple meets like these helps to relieve the stress from work quite a bit. If only weekend is longer. Am certainly looking forward to more of such work-life-balance activities.
