Recovering

I must log in this entry though I'm feeling groggy from the medication, for a friend who read my previous post and made my day by asking me to read hers. What a sacrifice! Thanks! You know who you are, at that part of the world... Appreciate your concerns and effort to make me laugh... at your own expense... haha... My friend of 19 or 20 years (I can't remember... shikes!) not counting those years when we were all angels at Christmas Pageant! :P

Sick

It's been a long time since I had such high fever. Was burning at 38.1 degrees high this morning, really nuah until cannot nuah. I practically slept through the whole except times when I had to drag myself out of bed to toilet or have my meal and medication. And in another few hours time it's bedtime. Yes, I will have no problem going to bed.

Only if there is no work this weekend ... I hope my fever will subside by tomorrow and feel better. I can't teach on Thursday if I'm still feeling nuah. sigh...

Am I?

I was discussing with my physio during the treatment this morning as to the possibility why the left muscles of my whole body is generally tighter or problematic than the right. Usually if a person is right handed, naturally the right hand / leg is the master hand / leg. Therefore the tendency for the right side muscles tends to be used more often which would tighten up easier.

I could have been born as a left-hander. And so, it suddenly dawned upon me that I could do quite a no. of things with my left hand, not very well but manageable with conscious efforts. I can write, dribble a basketball, use chopsticks, pour water ... yeah, so what can be too difficult doing this? Curiosity got me and I googled about left-handedness.

Left-handed persons are thought to process information using a "visual simultaneous" method in which several threads can be processed simultaneously. Another way to view this is such: Suppose there were one thousand pieces of popcorn and one of them was colored blue. Right-handed people—using the linear sequential processing style—would look at the popcorn one at a time until they encountered the blue one. The left-handed person would spread out the pieces of popcorn and look at all of them to find the one that was blue. (It sounds quite like what I would do). A side effect of these differing styles of processing is that right-handers need to complete one task before they can start the next. Left-handers, by contrast, are capable and comfortable switching between tasks. This seems to suggest that left-handed people have an excellent ability to multi-task, and anecdotal evidence that they are more creative may stem from this ability to multi-task.

Well, this is only one of the explanations I may not be afterall... hmm... did my parents stuff the pen in my right hand and made me just start with using it?

Need To Change Batteries

I'm mentally exhausted, drained. I desperately need to re-charge myself but work is not ending anytime soon. In fact, this is the beginning. I have only 2 hands. So much to complete in such a short time.

What can be worse when you already have so much to do and people just come telling you they are going here and there for holidays and whining about the work is given to them. I'm at the verge of spilling uncouth languages. I guess it's probably His graces that I'm constrained from doing it.

Better not push the buttons ...

Absolute or not?

Is there absolute right or wrong always? What factors determines what is right and wrong? Grey area. Rhetorically, you can argue your way to either. What if we add in a human interest factor?

I have frequently used this when I was doing my bachelor programme. The lecturers would often tell us there is no particular right or wrong views if you can justify your thoughts. Question. Would your values then change to support your justification? Values that could have be instilled in you since young with cultural influences.

Today, I hear for myself what youths these days think of what supposed good values have evolved to. I am appalled or should I be not? I don't know. I really don't know.

Is doing what values views as wrong considered conservative? Have the western tv shows influenced our youths otherwise?

Dreaming

Have you ever tried to plug your mp3 with songs of praise and worship while you are immersed in the Himalayas? I have and I missed doing it.

I was driving home last night and was listening to Faith 2. The music was so good that my thoughts brought me back to the mountains as though I was resting in the tea house at Lukhla watching the hills and planes flying into the runway. It's an indescribable feeling. I think I terribly need a break but school just started... shikes!

Thinking

Short term pain for long term gain? This short term is also not exactly that short, I also have other factors to consider.

I had a little shock by the term that my 2 phyios used to me today. They said it was ulcer or cysts. Sounds much worse than what the ortho said. Doc just told me that the cartilage is injured.
